Create a girl of the year

I got this Idea from Winter's Blog!
Even though I am not as into American girl dolls I thought this Idea was cute!

This is Carrie-Anne Hill.
She is a shy 14 year old. She has three siblings and lives in Aspen, Colorado. In the Winter, her days are normally filled with skiing the slopes of Aspen. Her dream ever since she began skiing, which was when she was 4, was to be a Olympic skier. To be precise winner of the GOLD. Carrie-Anne is not to far away from that dream now. She just needs to pass the next two Championships before she can start training for the Olympics. Which are this March. She has been training for years for these Championships. She is worried that when the moment comes she will be to scarred to ski in front of hundreds of people. Even when she is just practicing on the slopes she is so familiar with, she gets nervous and makes mistakes. Her family is strongly supporting her to reach her dreams but can she do it?

I hope you enjoyed the story!

Cuff Bracelets

These bracelets are really cute and fun to make!

You will need:

  • Stretchy String
  • Pony Beads
  • Scissors
You can find patterns on Kandipatterns.com or come up with your own designs.

(These are some of my favorite bracelets I have made)

Step 1

Start with 32 beads for your first row. Tie it about three times then clip the ends.

(Sorry the picture is awful)

Step 2
Now for the second row. Take the string and put it through any one of the beads' hole. Then string on a bead. With the bead on, put the string through the next bead's hole (In this case, the next red bead).

(Sorry the picture is bad again)

Continue until you finish the second row. It should look like this.

Step 3

Pull string tight. You might have to help fold it so it can stand. It should look like this. Then tie it.

(Again the picture is blurry sorry)

Continue with the first part of step 2 until you like the height of your bracelet or until you finish your pattern.  The second row is usually the hardest.

These are a few of bracelets I have made in the past.

I hope you try these out. Once you get the hang of it, they are really fun.

      You will need:
  • A can or jar (I used a hot chocolate can)
  • Fun paper and paper for the ideas on the inside
  • Stickers or you can write on it
  • Tape (lots of tape)
  • Scissors
  • A pen
  • And lots of ideas to write down

These are pictures of the finished jar:

The top!
I folded the paper on the inside but you don't have to.

"Make a Craft", "Help Mom or Dad", "Do MadLibs","Watch a Movie",
and "Sew or Knit Something".
